The Foundations for the Development of Intimacy

In this article, the concept of intimacy is presented as developing concurrent with identity as the basis for exploring the foundations of intimate relationships in adolescents. Researchers explore intimacy as perceived by female adolescents aged 15–18 years regarding heterosexual dating relationships. Both the process toward intimate relationships and various forms are reported.
