A successful transition from gavage to full oral feeding is a decisive indicator for discharging premature infants from the neonatal intensive care unit. A clinically useful measure of oral feeding readiness would help nurses initiate implementation of the cue-based feeding model in Taiwan. The study aimed to assess the validity and reliability of the Traditional Chinese Preterm Oral Feeding Readiness Assessment Scale (TC-POFRAS).

Epilepsy affects both children and their parents, as it is a chronic disease with recurrent seizures. Parents play a key role in acceptance of the diagnosis of epilepsy by the child and compliance of the child with its treatment. Therefore, the perceptions and experiences of parents about this process are critical. The Epilepsy-Related Fears in Parents Questionnaire is one such instrument, and it has been used to measure the epilepsy-related fear experienced by parents who had children with epilepsy in Germany.

Parental readiness is a requirement for discharge of the high-risk infant from the hospital. Currently, in Indonesia, there are no standard tools to measure parental readiness according to parents' perceptions. This study aimed to undertake cross-cultural adaptation and psychometric validation of the original version (English) of the Readiness for Hospital Discharge Scale (RHDS)-Parent into Bahasa Indonesia.

Measuring the adolescent awareness of healthy lifestyle behaviors and the self-efficacy needed to change behaviors is an important step in improving the health of this population. The Healthy Lifestyle Beliefs Scale is one such instrument, and it has been used to measure the healthy behaviors of adolescents in the United States. This study aims to extend this instrument by evaluating its validity and reliability in Turkish adolescents.

Physiologic measurement of patient acuity has been used to predict patient outcomes, length of stay, and resource utilization. To date, these tools are not sufficiently comprehensive to inform nurse staffing assignments and have limited practical application. The Complexity Assessment and Monitoring to Ensure Optimal Outcomes (CAMEO©) acuity tool was initially developed and validated to quantify patient acuity in terms of complexity of nursing cognitive workload in pediatric intensive care units (ICU).

Nurse Case Managers utilize adult based readmission risk tools upon admission to identify readmission risk. An evidence-based pediatric readmission tool could not be identified to replicate in the pediatric space, therefore the High Acuity Readmission Risk Pediatric Screen (HARRPS) Tool was developed to fill this gap. The research aim was to develop a risk score algorithm that accurately predicts pediatric readmissions and provide a predictive validation of the HARRPS Tool.
